WHY DO WE NEED SKILLS TRAINING IN CARNARVON, NORTHERN CAPE?
Unemployment rate in the Northern Cape is 4,7%, according to StatsSA 2013.
Eight out of every ten households in Carnarvon area attain lower than Grade 12 as highest education. Therefore there is an urgent need for the development and implementation of skills training programmes. These programmes will be especially for people with learning disabilities, disadvantaged people from rural areas and the youth with little or no schooling background. Skills training programmes are the only way to effective and sustainable educational empowerment, financial independence and a better quality of life.
